Privacy PolicyAssume Permanence
You should always assume that submitted data could be kept indefinitely.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to all ChatGPT Actions and related services provided byChristopher Huk (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By using any of our Actions, you understand and agree that any data you send to our services may be stored temporarily or permanently, even if we intend for storage to be temporary.
2. Data You Provide
Our Actions process whatever data you (or ChatGPT on your behalf) send to them. This may include:
- Text, prompts, or command inputs
- Files or other uploaded content
- Structured data needed for the Action to function
We do not specifically request personal information, but we will receive anything that is included in the submitted content.
3. Data Storage & Retention
3.1 Temporary — But Treat as Permanent
In many cases, we only need to store data for a short time to process requests or return results. However:
- Data may persist longer than intended
- Logs, cached files, or generated outputs may remain stored
- We do not guarantee deletion on any fixed schedule
- We do not guarantee that stored data will ever be removed
Therefore, anything uploaded or sent through our Actions should be assumed to be stored permanently.
3.2 Storage Behavior (Encrypted and Unencrypted)
Depending on the specific Action, its configuration, or future updates, data or generated files may be stored either encrypted or unencrypted. Some storage providers (such as Cloudflare R2) may apply provider-managed encryption at rest, while other parts of the system — including self-hosted or on-premises devices — may store or process data unencrypted.
During normal operation, your data may be handled by cloud infrastructure as well aspersonal or privately maintained hardware (for example, a local device used to perform LaTeX compilation). These systems may temporarily store data in memory, logs, cache directories, or temporary files, which may not be encrypted.
Auto-deletion features (such as time-based lifecycle rules) may remove stored files after a certain period; however, these mechanisms do not guarantee deletion of all copies or intermediate artifacts. You should continue to assume that any data submitted may remain stored indefinitely.
4. How Data Is Used
We use submitted data only to:
- Perform the requested function (for example, compiling LaTeX, transforming text, or generating files)
- Maintain reliability, security, and correct operation of our services
- Debug issues or improve the quality and stability of the services
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or build marketing profiles about ChatGPT users.
5. Third-Party Services
Our infrastructure may make use of third-party providers, such as (but not limited to):
- Cloudflare Workers, object storage, or similar edge platforms
- Cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or comparable services)
These providers may process or store data on our behalf as part of normal operation. They do not have permission from us to use the data for their own independent purposes.
6. Infrastructure, Hosting, and Data Routing
Our ChatGPT Actions may operate using a combination of:
- Cloud-based infrastructure (such as edge workers, routing layers, or managed platforms)
- Third-party compute, storage, or networking providers
- Self-hosted or privately maintained servers or devices
- On-premises or home-network hardware connected through secure tunnels or similar mechanisms
Because our architecture may include privately maintained or self-hosted systems, data you submit may be processed or temporarily stored on hardware that we operate directly, which may not reside in a traditional commercial data center.
Data may be stored as temporary files, cached results, or logs. We do not guarantee regular deletion schedules, automated cleanup, or permanent removal of all stored data. Due to the nature of hybrid and self-hosted systems, you should assume that any data sent may remain stored indefinitely, even where the system is designed to treat it as temporary.
We use encrypted transport and access controls where reasonable, but self-hosted or hybrid systems inherently carry different risks than cloud-only environments. Users should not upload sensitive, private, or confidential information through our Actions.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit, such as encrypted network connections and access controls. However, no system can guarantee complete security.
Depending on the infrastructure being used at any given time, data may be storedwith provider-managed encryption (for example, encryption automatically applied by a cloud storage vendor) or without encryption on self-hosted, locally operated, or temporary processing systems. This service is notdesigned as a zero-knowledge system; because we control the infrastructure and code that handle user submissions, it is technically possible for us to access unencrypted content during processing or storage.
For this reason, users should not submit sensitive, private, or confidential information through our Actions.
8. User Rights & Control
Because we typically cannot identify individual ChatGPT users sending requests to our APIs:
- We cannot verify your identity against specific stored data
- We may not be able to modify or delete specific user-submitted content on request
If you wish to avoid storage of your data, you should not submit it through our Actions.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect.
10. No Employer Affiliation
This service is a personal project operated solely by me, Christopher Huk. It is not developed for, sponsored by, endorsed by, or connected in any way to my employer or any company or organization I work for. All infrastructure, code, data handling decisions, and storage practices described in this policy are independent and not part of any employment-related system.
